FIELD OF PEACE

In Mozambique we love soccer!
It’s a sport that brings people together and turns a village into a place of festivity and celebration.
Just this month we got to open and dedicate a brand new field in Maringanha. This new field is just walking distance from our block of land were we will be building too! Many years ago Heidi reached out to this same area and wasn’t greeted the same as she is today. Through patience, honor and learning how to love, we have seen God totally transform this area and a beautiful relationship has formed between those who share different beliefs. It is wonderful to see a community come together in peace and unity. The day of the opening was so much fun, with laughter and excitement as the two teams set foot on the new ground for the first time. This land use to be barren, with large holes and rugged bush. Now it is a beautiful place where joy is heard and children playing can be discovered.

It was beautiful to see brand new small business open too, with fresh opportunities to feed a hungry crowds, Mamma’s from the villages hand made sweets and savories to sell.

Building into communities is so important and I’m so grateful to be partnered with a family that pours into villages in such a special way through relationship!
This is a dream come true for this area, and you can see their graduate and excitement in the video! This beautiful fields is called “Shalom”, the field of peace.
