ISRAEL

October last year, we went to Israel with our 2 and a half month old baby… It wasn’t a holiday even though we did have some incredible moments as a family, but it was an opportunity like no other.

Our friend Laura Taranto contacted us asking if we would film and assist her with a project, capturing Heidi Baker in different historical biblical locations while sharing teachings for a new video series.

I want to be really real with you guys and share with you our thought process to how we went there.
At first we said “Wow, Israel!”
Then we looked at our situation, our finances, we looked in the mirror at the dark rings around our eyes from a lack of sleep and at our one month old baby who at that time had a cold and was breathing like an old lady snores. All these practice circumstances that we couldn’t ignore.
And then we said it one more time “oh God, Israel…..?”

We prayed a lot, and had a little over a week to give an answer.
We decided if we were meant to go, then all our expenses would be covered and we would have someone to help us care for Grace.

By the time we needed to give an answer, and without telling anyone about trip, we had all the finances. I Then told my good friend Cathrin we might be going and without hesitation she volunteered to come and help us care for Grace. We felt so much peace and excitement, we were going to Israel!

We filmed for 10 days, worked hard and meet so many amazing people.
The video series should be another 12-18 months before it is released, but we will share it with you when it is ready. In the meantime, here are some shots from the trip and a little holiday video of us with Grace from my phone.

We are learning more and more to have courage, to dream big and to have faith that God can do anything in your life… even when it looks impossible or outside of your natural capacity.
We aren’t meant to be dictated by our circumstances, but be led by His Spirit and trust.

If we didn’t go, we would have missed out on so many incredible opportunities! My favourite was when Grace was dedicated in the Jordan River by Heidi.
